Dear Clara – Love in Action
Love can be seen in many ways, but the most important of these is in our actions. I’m writing today to introduce our 10-week-old puppy Nina. She goes with Gigi to her school and spreads the love that we give her to all the students. Last week was only her first week going to school, and yet she was able to save two students who were having a hard time with their schoolwork and were ready to give up. The great thing about Nina is that she loves you no matter what, even if you are in a bad mood.
Gigi and I have not seen you in nearly 2 years, and as much as we love Nina, we would rather it was you who we gave hugs and kisses. Because we are stopped from doing this, we have to show our love for you in other actions. Today will be my last post on your blog for the next little while, but I will continue to keep the website BreadCrumbs4Clara going until it has served its purpose. I will also continue to make regular donations in your name to both the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and the BC Cancer foundation. I know Gigi will continue to have her monthly 20 minute FaceTime meetings with you as well.
One day you will the old enough to be free to make the choice of who you let into your life and who you love. I hope then you will chose us for both. I’m very sorry to be missing your childhood, but we can’t let our sadness about that get in the way of hope for a future relationship. Always look to the light little one. Goodbye for now.
Love always and may God bless you,
Poppo and Gigi
